Hot Wheels Race Rewards: ’69 DODGE CHARGER FUNNY CAR

With news of the ’59 Chevy Delivery becoming available this week through the Hot Wheels #Race Rewards program, there is no better time to showcase the ’69 Dodge Charger Funny Car which is still available but most likely down to a limited remaining quantity. If you have been saving your points and/or Walmart receipts and haven’t gotten your ’69 Charger F/C yet, now is the time to cash in your points.

Hot Wheels ’69 Dodge Charger Funny Car from the 2016 Walmart Race Rewards Program (open)

Available through the Race Rewards program which has, and currently serves as Walmart’s exclusive Hot Wheels marketing tool to collectors, the ’69 Charger F/C can be had for 4,500 points which is the equivalent of buying 30 mainline Hot Wheels cars in which you are given 150 points each. Other Walmart Hot Wheels purchases (even some Matchbox) are worth various point totals and can also be used to obtain items from the #Race Rewards program.

This unpainted beauty falls in-line with the same graphics as the 2016 Mail-In Promo cars, but adheres to the look of the #Walmart Exclusive #ZAMAC cars found at retail. It even has a #5 since the mail-in cars are numbered #1-#4 and the next car, the ’59 Chevy Delivery wears #6.

The Hot Wheels ’69 Dodge Charger Funny Car casting was designed by Hot Wheels Designer Rob Matthes and first appeared in 2009’s Dragstrip Demons line. The 2011 Mail-In Promo release commands a high dollar on the secondary market as it was a #Toys R Us Exclusive promotion that not many collectors participated in, therefore supply of the release is very limited. Hot Wheels has a large repertoire of #Dodge #Charger castings, along with #Funny Cars so this retro drag racer is not one to look past. The complexity of the casting limits it to only premium releases so if you’re looking to add one to your collection, the #Race Rewards is your best shot right now. Grab yours before they’re gone!
