Pop Culture: Batman ’80 DODGE MACHO POWER WAGON

The ’80 Dodge Macho Power Wagon is back! We’ve been excited to obtain this one since hearing about its scheduled return in May. Since its initial #First Edition release as part of the #Hot Wheels Entertainment Line as a vehicle from the TV show, Simon & Simon, collectors have been salivating at the chance to add another to their collections — especially after it was originally scheduled to be part of the #Heritage line.

So after a two-year hiatus, we are graced with another release of the Hot Wheels #’80 Dodge Macho Power Wagon. This time its in another premium line, the #Pop Culture line. This mix (or segment) of 6 vehicles featured Batman & Superman art by three classic DC Comics artists: Jim Lee, Frank Miller & Ed McGuinness.

It was the Ed McGuinness Batman that was chosen to scale the sides of this release of the ’80 Dodge Macho Power Wagon. As you can see in the pictures above and below, both sides feature variant art which has been a common practice in the #Pop Culture line thus far. This art is laid over a #ZAMAC (unpainted) body which has a dark gray look to it given the amount of clear coat applied to it.
