The ’59 Chevy Delivery became available a couple weeks ago through the Hot Wheels #Race Rewards program. At the time, we showcased the ’69 Dodge Charger Funny Car which is still available but most likely down to a limited remaining quantity. However, due to many collectors already ordering multiples of the ’69 Charger Funny Car, there now has been a run on the ’59 Chevy Delivery.
Wearing the #6 as its the sixth retailer-specific promotional vehicle for the year, and second #ZAMAC promotion car from Walmart, it was available through the Race Rewards program — the program currently serves as Walmart’s exclusive Hot Wheels marketing tool to collectors. The ’59 Chevy Delivery can be had for 4,500 points which is the equivalent of buying 30 mainline Hot Wheels cars in which you are given 150 points each. Other Walmart Hot Wheels purchases (even some Matchbox) are worth various point totals and can also be used to obtain items from the #Race Rewards program.

Hot Wheels ’69 Dodge Charger Funny Car and the ’59 Chevy Delivery from the 2016 Walmart Race Rewards Program
The Hot Wheels ’59 Chevy Delivery was designed by former Hot Wheels designer Abe Lugo — who now resides on the Matchbox side of the business. The casting was first released in the 2010 Slick Rides line, then had a limited stint in the mainline as part of the 2011 Treasure Hunts, before being reserved for several #Pop Culture releases. This is its first #Promotional Vehicle release and while some collectors have questioned the decision to give it blue-tinted windows, it falls in line with the other great #Walmart Exclusive #ZAMAC cars we have seen over the years.

RELEASE DETAILS: Unpainted Metal Body (ZAMAC). Blue-Tinted Windows. Black Interior. Chrome Real Riders 10-Spoke (RR10SP) Wheels w/ Redlines. Unpainted Metal Base. Made in Malaysia. Toy# DPG40. Released in 2016 as part of the Walmart Exclusive, Hot Wheels Race Rewards Promotion.
