My fellow #Viper fans rejoice as there is at least one new Dodge Viper in the #2017 Hot Wheels lineup. The #’08 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR returns in a heavenly, metalflake sky blue with a familiar #Speedhunters graphics scheme. This one lands in the 2017 #Night Burnerz Series — a series that has a lot to live up to since the 2016 Night Burnerz Series was one of the best segment series for the year.

After a one year layoff, the #’08 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR returns with that metal spoiler we saw introduced in that 2015 release. As someone who had lobbied for a long time to have the Hot Wheels castings with spoilers, get metal spoilers, I kind of rescinded that agenda when they were just an extension of the body — being painted the same color and all. Well, with this release of this ACR #Viper, it seems as though a clever, black tampo was applied separate the spoiler from the body — the end result is a kind of cool looking, two-tone spoiler. This “aesthetic innovation” was in addition to a new color for this casting that really separates it from the other snakes in the pit.

UPDATE 03/23/2017 — I have finally got around to uploading the #Kmart Exclusive, black colorway below. It was one of the exclusives from the Kmart Collectors Day Event on February 18, 2017. Upon flipping it over to read the base information, I noticed the one that I got was actually a repainted sky blue one (the first colorway).
