Our one-week long #ViperWeek celebration ends with a bonus article on the newest Hot Wheels #Viper casting, the SRT GTS-R. Based off of the real car of the same name, the SRT GTS-R has been a force to be reckoned with at the 24 Hours of LeMans race. The Hot Wheels car has been optimized for track performance as one stingy detail has been driving collectors and real car enthusiasts crazy — the up-sloped chin.
While its not as noticeable on this casting as it is on others, many are quick to point the up-sloped chin out by voicing their disgust. Sure, there’s a part of me that would rather have these diecast cars be authentic in every way possible but sometimes its the fact that these diecast replicas are orange track worthy that makes them so cool. Its the style and performance that the Hot Wheels brand has been eliciting since day one that has proven its successful track record with collectors and kids alike.

Hot Wheels Dodge Viper SRT GTS-R from the 2015 HW Race / World Race Series (also a 2015 New Model) … Both Variations
With this #First Edition release of the Dodge Viper SRT GTS-R casting, it was great to see it being released in a nearly authentic racing scheme. Sometimes the coolness factor comes from racing these real #Race Cars on your orange track at home. We are still looking forward to the 2016 HW Race Team version as its out now, but have yet to find one. You can bet you’ll see that one here in the coming weeks. Cheers to #ViperWeek, we hope you’ve enjoyed all the models.
