Say what you will about the Hot Wheels #Pop Culture line as its had several series that have warmed pegs. However, don’t confuse abundance with lack of interest. Take for instance the latest series to be released in the #2017 Hot Wheels Pop Culture line: #Star Wars #Bounty Hunters Series. The series featuring six Star Wars Bounty Hunters has been met warmly by collectors — despite being relative easy to find at retail. Fans of Star Wars, art, and Hot Wheels all get something admire when it comes to this series.

It was apparent before the series was even released that the hardest vehicle to track down in the #Bounty Hunter Series would be the Boba Fett Econoline — and rightfully so, its a great new casting with the most famous #Star Wars bounty hunter of all. Next to that, my personal must-have was the #’07 Chevy Silverado 4×4 which was released as “Chevy Silverado Off Road” for this release. Its only the casting’s second release to date as it follows up the 2015 heritage release.

Call it gaudy, tell me it would have better stock, and I probably would agree with you. However, if you do that, you are dismissing the reason its in the #Pop Culture line to begin with — to be emblazoned with graphics featuring a certain pop culture subject matter. Every car from the #Bounty Hunters Series can’t wear Boba Fett, or else they would have just called it the Boba Fett series. Instead, the bounty hunter known as #Zuckuss was chosen to be paired with this release of the #’07 Chevy Silverado 4×4.

The metalflake steel blue paint (body) and the gold #Off-Road Real Riders Preferred Wheels oddly enough, go together. It wouldn’t have been my first choice on color combination, but I can imagine its hard to pick a color scheme for a character that isn’t much more than an extra in the movie. Even with the odd color scheme and the large #Zuckuss graphics, this #Silverado seems to be the next car gone after that Boba Fett Econoline, at retail. Of those Zuckuss #’07 Chevy Silverado 4×4s that are selling, I’d be curious as to how many Hot Wheels customizers are buying up this release of the casting and/or its #Real Riders wheels.
