The three cars from the Hot Wheels #Need for Speed video game collection for 2016 are finally together with the addition of the Night Burnerz: Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34). Its a collection that many collectors have been looking to complete since it was announced last November that these three cars would be featured in the latest edition of Need for Speed — see promo video below.

Aside in returning in a #Need for Speed licensed paint scheme, this R34 Skyline also has a familiar look to it as it has a very similar #Speedhunters deco to the one the ’71 Datsun Bluebird 510 Wagon wore in the 2014 HW Workshop / Garage Series. Considering the #Datsun/Nissan are the same company, its kind of like a Then and Now series that spans over a couple years.

This red hot R34 Skyline has just started showing up in the last couple Hot Wheels assortments for the year and has been flying off the pegs for a multitude of reasons. First, its a Skyline and everything #JDM, #Datsun/Nissan, #Skyline has been hot by namesake only. Second, its completes the two mini series mentioned above. Lastly, it is just a well executed design wearing that bright red paint, #Speedhunters graphics, and “HOT WHEELS” in Japanese just like the Hot Wheels Trucks: Datsun 620 we featured a little over a month ago and the Hot Wheels Custom Car Show: Super Van we featured just the other day. Look for this one now as it surely will not hang on the pegs very long.
