The #HW Hot Trucks Series #Custom ’56 Ford F-100 is surely one of the Top 10 graphic designs of the #2017 Hot Wheels mainline. Released in a trio of matte colors, this rendition of the customized ’56 #Ford #Truck features a nice, vintage-looking door deco, but its the tampo’d rust pattern that steals the show.

The first colorway to appear this year was the matte light gray one that appeared as part of the “E” case assortments — which proved to be released in limited quantities initially but have now surfaced at many of the overstock retailers and dollar stores. You may remember this assortment for the car everyone seemed to grab, the GMG Corvettte. Not to be overlooked — as I may have done to myself in pursuit of the Corvette — is this matte light gray colorway that was one of the, if not the, first Hot Wheels vehicle to feature the #Steelie 8-Spoke Wheels.

I believe we are done seeing this #HW Hot Trucks Series release of the #Custom ’56 Ford F-100 this year so I would be remiss to say that I kind of wish there was an alternative, “non-rusted” colorway done up in some candied finish. …You know, to kind of give the “now & then” look to all the colorways of the truck this year — rusted versus clean.
