At this point, it is evident that Mattel and Walmart have an agreement to bring these exclusive Hot Wheels series to Walmart via dump bins. This year alone, we have seen the Avengers series, the 3rd installment of the Fast & Furious series and now the Porsche series.

While not all 8 of the Porsche models appealed to me, I thought the Yellow Porsche 917K shown below was sharp. The story on the Porsche 917K is that the casting started off in the 100% Hot Wheels line, a premium Hot Wheels line where models retailed for around $7 USD. The Porsche originally had a opening rear hatch in 1999 and through 2003. In 2005 it was part of the Real Riders line and this feature was omitted from this casting as the hatch was sealed shut. This continued for last years RLC Gulf Racing release and for the one featured today.
