Larry Wood had spent 40 years at Hot Wheels as a designer from 1970 to 2009 before he “retired”. Over that time, he was given the name “Mr. Hot Wheels” due to his impact on the brand. He still resides in Southern California, giving tours of Larry’s Garage and occasionally designing new Hot Wheels castings.
