The Hot Wheels #Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA has been released for the third time in as many years. With each release, more collectors are realizing how great this #Mark Jones Designed casting is. For me, that first release in the red & white FORZA livery had me all in on a casting which was first being introduced. It still stands as my favorite release of this casting. 2017’s Car Culture / Cars & Donuts release was fabulous in its own respect, but if you compare it with the other two, its shortcoming is its lack of details.
This year, the Hot Wheels #Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA essentially gets a redo as its back in #Car Culture. The front and rear details are no longer omitted, which is great to see, as they really help complete the intended look of this casting. This #96 is in a roundel on the sides which is accompanied by a metalflake lime green paint job — both of which, have never been done before in its previous two releases. Speaking of its previous two releases, they wore #Real Riders 8-Spoke Wheels whereas this year’s #Car Culture / EuroSpeed release has #Real Riders Wire-Spoke Wheels.

It is worth noting that the packaging for this #Car Culture / EuroSpeed release does feature a dark green #Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA, whereas the actual car came out in that aforementioned metalflake lime green. None of the other cars in this series feature the card-to-car color discrepancy, so you can’t help but wonder if there was a change made somewhere in the middle of the process.
For being as small as it is, the Hot Wheels #Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA casting certainly has some weight to it. Personally, I’d be curious to see how it would perform on the orange track if it had plastic wheels instead of #Real Riders. I’m not complaining though as these first three releases rival any first three releases of any other casting out there — they are that good! Looking forward to seeing what kind of treatment this #Alfa Romeo receives next.

ORANGE TRACK DIECAST 
I’ve said this here before, but I’m happy to keep paying you the compliment: very nice photos of the cars! It is especially nice to see all three of them together in a single composition. If I could make three changes for these particular cars it would be: a) the addition of front/rear tampos for the Cars & Donuts release (only because the lack of embellishment on this version makes it feel slightly inferior to the other two releases) b) agree that the application of the dark green paint as shown on the EuroSpeed card art would have been so beautiful and c) the Forza version, while simply amazing, can easily be imagined without the Forza hood graphic applied. This particular car deserves to have the premium treatment showered on it because it’s such a wonderful casting. Thanks as always for your write up and images!
