1994 Hot Wheels: DODGE VIPER RT/10

Red is the color of passion and it also demands attention. Often the color of extroverts, it is only fitting that sports cars typically wear red. The Hot Wheels Dodge Viper RT/10 was introduced in red in 1993 just like its 1:1 scale counterpart. As one of the most beautifully-styled cars ever, its no surprise that in 2013, Dodge decided to add a lot more of the original styling cues to the 5th generation Viper. Those styling cues are evident in this 1st generation Viper. From the curvy hood with fender flares, to the circular curvature on the sides to smooth backend, this car looks fast sitting still!

The release presented below is the 2nd version of the Dodge Viper RT/10 that Hot Wheels released. Not much had changed from the 1st and 2nd versions. Pretty much the only difference is the color of the Ultra-Hot Wheels (UH) from Chrome to Gold Chrome. This was done as the Dodge Viper RT/10 was deemed as a “Gold Medal Speed” car which was similar to the Hot Wheels Track Aces of today–meaning it works great on track!

Just as the 1:1 Dodge Viper continues to be released today, the Dodge Viper RT/10 has been released as recently as last year in the HW Road Trippin’ line. It is 1 of 7 Dodge Viper castings that Hot Wheels makes–page down to see the list below.
