Collection Update: ’55 Chevy Bel Air Gasser Casting Collection

I showed this picture on the @orangetrackdiecast Instagram the other day and I was surprised at the attention it garnered. That alone tells me that A) You guys love the Hot Wheels #’55 Chevy Bel Air Gasser as much as I do, and B) I should really show more #Collection Updates — so I’ve started a new category for just that here on OTD.

For me, the #’55 Chevy Bel Air Gasser is a cool car no doubt. I was lucky to have started collecting this casting when it came out in 2013 … filling in releases I missed here and there. Its pretty cool to see this casting become as popular as it is now, as that only means we get to see lots of cool, multi-line releases of it. This is by no means ALL of them as I am still missing at least two — but those are going to cost an arm and a leg so this is as far as the collection goes for now…

You may have also noticed a new setup at OTD headquarters. More news on this to come… Cheers!

    • Oh, I believe it. This is a casting collection that could require some deep pockets to obtain all of its releases if you didn’t get them from their original sources.

  1. @brad What Two? Unless you’re counting obscure variations, I can only think of the Candy Gasser roof color variant…

  2. You know Brad, it’s really time for a proper “Race Team” release of this one… we need to get a petition started… too late for 2019, but there’s always the future!

    • You know what they said about curiosity right? Well, that is a topic for another time, but look above. I answered Dave’s original question.
