Merry Christmas to everyone here at Orange Track Diecast! Today, we look at the brand-new, #’66 Batmobile that was sold less than two weeks ago to Red Line Club members on HotWheelsCollectors.com (HWC).

Every year — well most anyways — Hot Wheels releases a #RLC Holiday Car on HWC … its become a tradition of sorts. Members look forward to the “Christmas car” every year and this years did not disappoint. The always-popular #’66 Batmobile was chosen and it was dressed in a very smooth, glass-like, #Spectraflame green paint; and wore #Neo-Classics for shoes.
The adult lines Hot Wheels graphic designer, Steve Vandervate did a spectacular job on the holiday deco for this release. The red trim is really spot on and the holly shaped to mimic a bat (on the doors) is genius! …and since it was done for the #RLC, you can rest assured that nothing was missed when it came to the details. Check out all the trim and just the tiny, minute details that make this car so stunning.
Since 2007, when the Hot Wheels #’66 Batmobile made its debut, this classic TV series #Batmobile has been a collector favorite. In just the last two years alone, we have received three quality releases: the 2017 #RLC Holiday Car, 2016 Mexico Convention, and the 2016 Batman Series (Super Treasure Hunt). When placed side-by-side-by-side, you can tell that the spectraflame green paint on the holiday car is something special.

If you missed out on the 2017 #RLC Holiday Car #’66 Batmobile, I’m sorry to say that its sold out as all 6,000 units didn’t last more than a day, even with the 1 per membership restriction. The original backorder on these said “12/29/2017” however, these were expedited and the majority of RLC members that bought ended up getting these before Christmas. Some members wrap these up and put them under their tree (for either themselves or for someone else), so there are surely going to be at least several, very happy collectors out there today.
