Man, do I love Batman. He was always my favorite super hero growing up so I can never get enough Batmobiles and Batman-themed Hot Wheels. Today is the worldwide release of the new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie and to celebrate that, we bring you the ’16 Batmobile featured in that very movie.

While this Batman Series release is also marketed as a 2016 New Model, the first release of this casting actually came in the form of a 2015 San Diego Comic Con Exclusive. To differentiate this casting from the other various Batmobiles, I personally call it the ’16 Batmobile just like a lot of others call the 1966 TV Series Batmobile, the ’66 Batmobile or the Batmobile from the 1989 Batman film, the ’89 Batmobile.

I’m excited to see the new movie and how this new Batmobile performs. I am without any doubt that it will be anything short of amazing. Being the rich playboy that he his, Bruce Wayne / Batman has always had a strong affinity for cars … its built into his character. Whereas this Superman character just flies around — where’s the fun in that???

The Hot Wheels ’16 Batmobile is available as part of the 2016 Batman Series at retail now. Look for it, go watch the movie, and lets us know what you think of both. Also, be on the lookout for other cool cars in the film. The Dodge Charger “Metropolis” Police Cars are already out and rumor has it that Dodge Charger “Gotham City” Police Cars aren’t far behind. Also, we have be seeing glimpses of the Joker’s new whip in the film. As a collector who loves Batman, Batmobiles and Batman-Themed vehicles, I may be buying a lot of Hot Wheels in the next few months.
