15th Annual Hot Wheels Nationals Convention: ’76 GREENWOOD CORVETTE

The “Nationals Convention” is typically in the spring and is in the eastern United States, while the “Collectors Convention” is in the fall in Southern California. Both conventions have been put on by the Hot Wheels Newsletter–15 years for the Nationals & 29 years for the Collectors.

The 15th Annual Hot Wheels Nationals Convention was held March 25-29, 2015 in Lexington, Kentucky. It featured 6 Hot Wheels souvenir cars including the one you see below, the ’76 Greenwood Corvette. The Corvette was fitting since Corvettes are made in Bowling Green, KY. The car was given to all ticket holders at the Finale event held on the last day of the Convention. There were no more than 1,200 of these made. Collectors loved the eye-popping, Hot Wheels Race Team graphics as well as the fact that the ’76 Greenwood Corvette is a semi-popular model. Currently, this release sells for $60+ in the package.
