Every-so-often, a relic is salvaged by way of a non-collector finding what is known as a “beater” or a vehicle in “played-with” condition. This relic happens to be Tom McEwen’s Mongoose Funny Car from 1970. This found its way to me via a co-worker who had found this in a box of his childhood items. While I don’t collect redlines, I promised to give it a new home. This item was sold on June 5th, 2015 and is headed to its new home in Ohio.
