“ZAMAC” is an acronym for Zinc, Aluminum, Magnesium, And Copper — the metal mixture that makes up all Hot Wheels vehicles. When Hot Wheels are unpainted, they are referred to as “ZAMAC”. In 2013, Walmart stores began carrying Walmart Exclusive “ZAMAC” editions which are unpainted variants of existing Hot Wheels mainline vehicles.
With the exuberant amount of newer #Mustang castings in the Hot Wheels lineup, it can often be hard to keep all the trim levels straight. Each trim level has its own details that separates it from the rest of the stable. Take for instance the #Ford Shelby GT350R. […]
2016 has been a great year for collecting Hot Wheels and the future continues to be bright as we inch another year closer to the 50th Anniversary in 2018. Looking back at the year, there weren’t many mainline trios as good as the #BMW 2002 from the 2016 […]
Sometimes you buy a Hot Wheels release strictly based upon its graphic design execution — I know there are at least a few of you out there. For me, that was the case with this release of the ’12 Camaro ZL-1 from the 2013 HW Showroom / #HW Garage […]

The ’80 Dodge Macho Power Wagon is back! We’ve been excited to obtain this one since hearing about its scheduled return in May. Since its initial #First Edition release as part of the #Hot Wheels Entertainment Line as a vehicle from the TV show, Simon & Simon, collectors […]
Coming off of the fresh disappointment that the 2013 New Model “raked” ’69 Dodge Charger Daytona casting was not a return of the 1996 First Edition “standard” ’70 Dodge Charger Daytona casting (which had been final run’d in 2003), many collectors chose to pass up on the 2014 […]
I’ve been a little slow getting this one up, but you had to figure it was coming given the love for the #Hot Wheels Race Team and #Vipers here. For me, I just love when a release encapsulates two segments I collect as I buy multiples (one for […]
The Dodge Viper ACRs are #Vipers that are made specifically for the track. Many of them have found their way onto the drift scene as the V10-powered ACR is a beast at burning rubber. In 2015, Hot Wheels gave their ’08 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR a #Speedhunters deco to […]
