New Hot Wheels unveiled at 2019 Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS); 2020 Super Treasure Hunt contest (UPDATED 9/24)

9/21/2019 — The Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS) was today at Marina Green Park in Long Beach, California. It’s annual timing in September, combined with its niche audience, has given the Hot Wheels & Matchbox teams a great vessel to show off current and upcoming #JDM releases — including some brand new models!

In the pictures below, taken by @japanesenostalgiccar on Instagram, we get our first look at some “New for 2020” castings such as the Nissan Silvia (CSP311), Mazda Cosmo, and Datsun Sunny Truck; which will all be appearing alongside the #’85 Honda City Turbo II and ’82 Nissan Skyline R30 in the Car Culture / Japan Historics 3 segment. Also, the brand-new, Hot Wheels ’15 Subaru WRX STi casting is seen. It is rumored to be an upcoming #Fast & Furious premium segment.

For the mainline, new 2020 Hot Wheels “A” case, HW Turbo: ’98 Subaru Impreza 22B STi-version was on display, alongside a “first-shot” prototype of the new Nissan Silvia S13 casting which was shown this last week by @hotwheelsdreamteam on IG, and a dark green ’91 Mazda MX-5 Miata. Towards the back, you’ll notice an orange Mazda RX-7 which will apparently have a Super Treasure Hunt variant later in 2020, and that is next to a Japanese cartoon version of the Mad Manga — a new casting.

Other notables include the 2020 Car Culture / Door Slammers #Datsun Bluebird 510, the 2019 Car Culture / Cruise Boulevard #Toyota Supra and ’93 Nissan D21 Custom Pickup, as well as upcoming (unknown) releases of the Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33) in NISMO attire AND the #Nissan Fairlady Z in what looks to be a BRE-style design.

In addition to these awesome shots of these upcoming Hot Wheels, @japanesenostalgiccar also announced a small contest for a 2020 Super Treasure Hunt, Nissan Skyline GT-R (BNR32). All you have to do is follow @japanesenostalgiccar on IG, and tag a friend in the post. Winners will be chosen next week.

That’s it! Good luck to you. Have a great Saturday. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing some of these new releases up close at the LA Convention in two weeks.

UPDATE 9/24/2019 — It occurred to me (after the @hotwheelsdreamteam post) that I forgot to mention the Honda Prelude prototype sitting in the front.
