The first #Mail-In promotion for 2019 is almost over (ends June 5th). Its kind of crazy considering we are over half-way through the Hot Wheels year already, and have only had one mail-in promotion. That shouldn’t surprise anyone though; as we were in a similar situation last year.
This year, the #’67 Ford Bronco kicked off the Collector Edition series, and was tied into the April 6th Kmart Collectors Day. Collectors who bought 20 Hot Wheels cars from Kmart — in-store and online — were eligible to send in for one of these. Could this be the last Kmart #Mail-In promotion? It sure seems like it as Kmarts are few and far-between these days and rumor has it that a new retailer will assume the remaining #2019 Collection Editions. But I digress…
The #2019 Collector Edition cars will be decked out in either ZAMAC (for Walmart promotions) OR in this really cool — assumingly new — color in #Spectraflame Hugger Orange. Its a darker hue of orange that really shines under some decent lighting. That, combined with the white enamel roof and fenders, makes this my favorite release of the Hot Wheels #’67 Ford Bronco, yet!
How does it compare to the #1 car from the #2018 Collector Editions?
Well, its another truck from the same era, but instead of being slammed like the ZAMAC ’70 Chevy Blazer, this #’67 Ford Bronco casting has a huge lift with #Off-Road Real Riders 5-Spoke Wheels. Definitely a great casting to play “monster truck” with. 😉

Hot Wheels ’67 Ford Bronco from the 2019 Collector Edition series with ’70 Chevy Blazer, 2018 Collector Edition
The Hot Wheels #’67 Ford Bronco casting made its debut in 2011 as part of the HW Garage series. It was a #Brendon Vetuskey Design as is not to be confused with the other ’67 Bronco that had a one-off Zoolander (2001) release in the Entertainment line in 2014 — designed by Bryan Benedict. As I mentioned, this #2019 Collector Edition release is easily my favorite release of the casting, which has been released in a rather limited capacity.
Despite being in its 9th year of existence, the #’67 Ford Bronco had four decent releases in the HW Garage line in 2011 before being relegated to Pop Culture purgatory in 2012, for the next 6 years. There was a one-off convention release in 2015 for the Nationals convention in Lexington, Kentucky that year, but this #2019 Collector Edition is much more pleasing to the eyes.
The promotional period is still open (until June 5th), so if you have a nearby Kmart, stop by and pick up 20 cars so you can snag one of these bad boys. The #2019 Collectors Editions should look good when it is all said and done. See below for a list of what we know so far.
