04/04/2019 — The 19th Annual Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals Convention is underway in Lombard, Illinois. Tonight the dinner car will be unveiled. Before that however, we got a look at some upcoming 2019 product courtesy of the designers via the autograph line.
The Larry Wood 50 Years of Design 10-Car Series
This series should be a hit with nostalgic Hot Wheels collectors that fancy retired Hot Wheels Designer, Larry Wood. The card art features some original drawings by Larry, and comes with a matching car to boot! This should be appearing exclusively at Walmart soon.
Deadpool now has an #Ice Cream Truck to go with his Chimichanga Truck from last year. Along with that is the #Bone Shaker from the Rocket League game. Both will appear in an upcoming mix of #Replica Entertainment.
Replica Entertainment & HWC/RLC
Also in that #Replica Entertainment mix is the #Subaru Impreza WRX from the Gumball 3000 race. Along side of that are two heavy hitters from HotWheelsCollectors.com’s Red Line Club: the Custom ’72 Datsun 240Z in a brand-new chameleon paint job, and the ’41 Willys Gasser in Spectraflame Bright Orange.
A lot of collectors have never heard of Hot Wheels Design, Ron Wong — until now. He works out of the Hot Wheels Hong Kong location and has designed several cars in the Hot Wheels Star Wars and Marvel lines. He brought along his original designs of the Spiderman Web Car and Iron Man’s Repulsor Blast. The Web Car was released last year, but the Repulsor Blast is available now through Amazon!
Last, but not least is the Autograph Sheet of Convention Guest of Honor, Manson Cheung. I did a special tribute to Manson on the OTD YouTube channel, so Manson wrote me a special message on the sheet my friend Tim picked up for me.
More to come…
Is the 240z and upcoming RLC car?
the wheels on the 240Z are weak, typically car culture rims and wheels used over and over again…… paint is cool tho…
I agree.. you can ditch those funky weird 4 spoke jobs for something better! I dig those other premium offerings except for the ice cream/Deadpool truck.
YES!!! Two more Bone Shakers this year!
