11/2/2018 — Good news! Another Kmart Collectors Day is coming. This event (traditionally held in November) is following suit of the last event, dropping back a couple weeks. The next event will be held December 8, 2018 December 15, 2018 at 9AM local time. The cases will feature 2019 “B” case assortment cars with three “first-to-market” “C” case releases and the last four 2018 releases which will be the exclusive colors for this event — list is below.
For those that have never been to a Kmart event before, it dates back to 2004 when collectors were allowed to go through sealed cases with exclusive color variations, reserved for event. Traditionally, you arrive at your Kmart before 9AM on that date and you get a ticket (in the area of the store holding the event). When your ticket is called, you follow the rules set forth by that store as to how many cars you can choose.
As far as participating stores, I know the list is dwindling as many stores close. For those like me where there isn’t a Kmart within reasonable driving distance, I will post the link to the cases online (when they become available) >> HERE.

UPDATED 12/1/2018 — Still no confirmation by Mattel, but given that the information that I had was over a month old — and the fact that the online cases didn’t go on sale today — I am inclined to believe the event has been pushed to December 15th. I have seen THIS POSTER SCAN being pushed around Instagram with the updated event and promo dates, so I believe online cases will go on sale next Sunday, Dec. 9th since that now lies within the promo dates.
UPDATED 12/6/2018 — Mattel has confirmed the event will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 9AM Local Time via HotWheelsCollectors.com. Also confirmed is the Volkswagen Drag Truck Promotion and its dates.

I drove to the last kday in idaho. We drove 4 hours and not 1 person at the event even got 1 super. We were very sad. Hope they get the ratio figured out better.

Thanks for the head’s up. I will be going to the hotwheels K-Day event on Saturday December 8TH and I will be getting the 4 K-Day exclusive car’s and the mail-in classic Volkswagen drag truck.👍
I’ve never gone to a K-day due to other things going on, but have bought the cases on line and I have never gotten a TH, let alone a STH.
Hi do you know for sure that the 36 car cases at KMart will be for sale befor the kday in Dec. for the past 4 events I try to get 2 cases and they are not available. Do they going on sale by east coast time or west coast time. I live in calif. and they just closed the last Kmart near me.

I don’t think there are any Kombi’s in the C case, just the new 49 VW pickup.
There wasn’t any Supers at my KDay either. I am in NC.
Last Kday in NY there were 8 supers…unreal. normally we are lucky to get 1.
Also since our Kmart is closing they aren’t supposed to be doing the Dec Kday. Anyone have a list of Kmart’s that are participating@

WTF Mattel is stupid. B cases are boring now. Been through 4 cases of those, only good car in it is the green R34. C’mon Mattel was hoping for at least C case. I’m not going to buy anything from this event, and not buying cases. Pure garbage assortment.
They would have been new cases had the event been held in November like it was originally scheduled to be.
