Welcome to a new segment here at Orange Track Diecast called “Casting Profile”. In each of these profiles, we will take a look at a certain Hot Wheels casting and examine its releases, value and other fun facts. I know a lot of you are going to enjoy this so lets start out with the behemoth known as the Hot Wheels #Ferrari 599XX.

The Hot Wheels #Ferrari 599XX was introduced in 2010 as part of the #Speed Machines line. Based off of the real car which is purely a track car, and not street legal, the Hot Wheels casting evoked the very sharp design of the production car. Its run as a Hot Wheels car may have been short, but its is one of the most popular #Ferrari vehicles that Hot Wheels has ever done.

Produced: 2010 to 2015

Hot Wheels Designer: John Violette

Most Expensive Release: ~$200 for the #ZAMAC colorway of the #Speed Machines release, mint in package.

Easiest Release to Obtain: The last mainline release in 2015 (common variant). By the time that those cases started hitting shelves in the U.S., collectors knew that the Hot Wheels & Ferrari partnership was ending at the end of the year and that we would no longer see this casting, or any other Ferrari castings for that matter.

Fun Fact: In its short 6-year tenure, it was a Super #Treasure Hunt both times it was in the mainline (2012 & 2015).
