One of, if not the most, popular #2017 New Models was the #Volkswagen T2 Pickup. It should come as no surprise that we are about to see this new release of the popular #Flatbed Hauler, starting with the #2018 Hot Wheels “E” case assortment, in the #HW Hot Trucks Series. Sporting a “Hot Wheels Hardware” logo on he sides this new #Volkswagen T2 Pickup comes in matte blue. The mismatched panels (in the graphics) are a nice touch as some appear to be primed out black, and a couple others appear to have some rust and/or distress.

While this #HW Hot Trucks Series release of the #Volkswagen T2 Pickup won’t show up carded in the U.S. until January — as part of the 2018 “E” case assortment — loose collectors (such as myself) can benefit from the Hot Wheels 9-Packs being a little ahead, as that is precisely how I obtained mine.

The Hot Wheels #Volkswagen T2 Pickup family is obviously growing with the addition of this #HW Hot Trucks Series release. Even though the casting is in its infancy, it is worth noting that this is the first time it has worn the #Steelie 8-Spoke Wheels which were also introduced last year. These wheels just seem like a more natural fit for the casting compared to the #Muscle Car 5-Spoke Wheels it wore last year.
