After a 5-year layoff it was certainly nice to see the Hot Wheels #Nissan Skyline R32 casting reemerge as part of the #Gran Turismo Series. Fans of the casting were certainly relieved as rumors of it being a #Discontinued Casting were dispelled. The surprises didn’t end there as this #Skyline appeared in the Night Burnerz 5-Pack later in the year — the casting had been modified for the first time in its 14-year run. Just like the #Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) before it, the plastic spoiler was converted to a metal one.

While I’m not sure on the general consensus when it comes to plastic vs. metal spoilers, or if there even is one, most everyone can agree that this release turned out great, especially considering the fact that its a #5-Pack Exclusive. Anytime you see badging and taillights on a casting at this level its definitely a plus! Fortunately, this release has proved to be plentiful as most 5-Pack exclusives are. Given the popularity of this casting, it would be hard to believe this car going on another 5-year hiatus after the two exquisite releases this year.
