Today is the first day of #ViperWeek here at Orange Track Diecast. From now until next Friday, we will be looking at the seven Hot Wheels #Dodge #Viper castings. Today, we look at the Dodge Viper GTS-R casting, which is my least favorite casting but if you’ve ever seen the real car in person, it’ll change how you see it. While it doesn’t have that classic #Viper styling, complete with curvature, the GTS-R is a powerhouse — and that is one thing the Mark Jones designed Hot Wheels casting embodies nicely.
2006 was the year of the colorway as it seemed every mainline car received several. Sure, not much has changed 10 years later with all the store exclusive colors, but as you can see with the Mopar Madness Series release of the Dodge Viper GTS-R, all three colorways are certainly justified. *winks* At the bottom of this article, you can find a list of all five vehicles in the 2006 Mopar Madness Series and their colorways.

Hot Wheels Dodge Viper GTS-R from the 2006 Mopar Madness Series (All 3 Versions)
The Hot Wheels #Dodge Viper GTS-R casting has been around since 2001 as it was part of the 2001 First Editions. Though it had been released just about every year from 2001 to 2012, its 2012 HW Performance Series release currently marks the last time it was produced. Though the GTS-R never received a metal base, it did have a semi-premium release with #Real Riders as part of the Got Speed Series, which was a segment in the 2004 Hot Wheels Auto Affinity line.
