Hot Wheels 2026 Fast & Furious Silver Series / RACE-OFF “P” CASE REPORT

As the Hot Wheels Fast & Furious lines continue, we are seeing more ways to releases the same hero cars. We’ve seen it in premium and now we are seeing it in the Silver Series line. Perhaps the best execution of this is in the 2026 “P” case (mix 3). This Fast & Furious series is titled, “Race-Off”, which appears to be a play on the “Race Wars” scene in The Fast and the Furious (2001). Four of the five cars in this series are from that scene while the fifth raises some questions as to it’s inclusion. Let’s take a closer look at the five vehicles in this mix.

#1/5 Toyota Celica

New casting alert! The seventh (and last) generation of the Toyota Celica (1999-2006) gets a redo in Hot Wheels land. The previous Hot Wheels casting of the 7th gen Celica was discontinued in 2012 after first appearing in the 2001 First Editions. The features of this Phil Riehlman design were a tad exaggerated to give it more of that “tuner” look that Hot Wheels was going for at the time. 25 years later, we get this new version of the casting, designed from the ground-up by Hot Wheels Designer, Ron Wong — who was actually looking to purchase a 1:1 before settling on his 1:1 MR2. This one features the TRD wing and body kit and it meant to represent the red Celica seen in the Race Wars scene that precedes the fight between Dom and Johnny Tran. Check out the unboxing video below!

#2/5 ’95 Mazda RX-7

The white HKS ‘5 Mazda RX-7 is back! This time, we get it with “desert sand spray” on the sides along with sand-colored tires and base — like all the vehicles in this mix. This is the car that Letty beats in her race featured in this scene.

#3/5 Volkswagen Jetta MK3

Poor Jesse. He gets cooked in this scene after “racing for pinks” with Johnny Tran. After losing, he bolts — a move that ultimately gets him shot by Johnny Tran’s gang. This is another vehicle we’ve seen multiple times in the Hot Wheels Fast & Furious lineups. What makes this one different is the sand spray and Jesse’s Race Wars “208” written on the back window.

#4/5 Honda S2000

Johnny Tran’s Honda S2000 is also in this mix. This is another classic that has been done before. The only difference here is the sand coloring and spray. This S2000 always flys off the pegs as it was the car in which the phrase, “Too soon, junior!” was muttered.

#5/5 Honda Civic EG

This is the one vehicle that is not in the Race Wars scene. This car is from Letty’s funeral scene in Fast & Furious (2009). I believe this spot was originally reserved for Letty’s Nissan 240SX (S14). I have to assume either licensing or costs — the S14 doesn’t have a plastic base — prevented this car from being in the mix. The Honda Civic EG is widely popular, but this impact of this series takes a slight hit from an authenticity stand-point.

I was able to buy a case of the Walmart Exclusive, Fast & Furious Silver Series / RACE-OFF (mix P) off of eBay for a decent price. I did so primarily because I wanted to share the case breakdown in the event that these cases are not even assortments. I also did it because finding a whole set of Silver Series in-store has not been easy for me, and this set has been especially hard to find! I unboxed one of these 10-count cases on the OTD YouTube Channel within the full Case Report that you see here.
