3/16/2020 — Unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures. With the widespread measures put in place to slow down the effects of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), the organizers of the 2020 Hot Wheels Nationals (Mark & Jennifer Millhollin) were forced to cancel the event. Below is the statement they left on CEU’s Facebook page:

Hello All..

We are sorry for the delay getting more definite answers out to you.

We are sad to announce that the 20th Annual Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals in Charlotte, NC is CANCELLED!! We are working with the host hotel to cancel all room reservations made through us. If you made your own reservation or you are at a different hotel, please call them directly to cancel your reservation.

We are working on a plan now to ensure that everyone with a Ticket to the Nationals will receive EVERYTHING that was Pre-ordered, (INCLUDES all ADD on EVENTS, items purchased, etc…) and that everyone with a ticket has the opportunity to purchase the souvenir sales cars and any of the other goodies available for this event.

Please give us a few days to work it all out. We will continue to post here and on the website with updates as we finalize (at least try, this will be a long and somewhat slow process… we are all in uncharted waters)

As the announcement says, this is uncharted territory for the organizers as they haven’t had to cancel a convention before. Please exercise patience. Hopefully we will see some alternative options on how to obtain the vehicles and experience the excitement the conventions usually bring. Look for more details in the coming weeks.
