UPDATE! Change of plans. These four cars mentioned in the article have been released early on Amazon. Here are the links: ’15 Jaguar F-Type Project 7 • Super Blitzen • ’69 Corvette Racer • Rally Finale. Go get them!
8/29/2019 — Collectors have been eagerly awaiting the third wave of #Hot Wheels iD since the second wave launched on July 12. The good news is that third wave will be launching this Sunday, as it appears to have a launch date of September 1. So, what cars will be in this wave?
Well, the other day when the Hot Wheels iD app was updated, some new cars were added to the garage section of the app. Five cars: the #’15 Jaguar F-Type Project 7, #Night Shifter, Super Blitzen, ’69 Corvette Racer and Rally Finale; now appear on-screen. You have to assume this is the next wave.

Observant collectors will notice that upon a closer look at the #Night Shifter, that is not the #Hot Wheels iD release — based on the deco — but rather one of the mainline chase pieces that The Lamley Group unveiled. So… there looks to only be four actual iD cars in the next wave, whereas the Night Shifter looks like it will be included in the 2020 Hot Wheels (mainline) “A” case assortment, due out by the end of September.
Today, this is the load screen I got upon launching the app…

So… with a prospective online launch looming for early Sunday morning, you can bet OTD will have the links for you. Make sure you check back Sunday morning. Also, make sure to follow our Hot Wheels iD TRACKER to stay up-to-date on the latest #Hot Wheels iD releases.

There are two versions of the Night Shifter. I’ve seen them floating around the internet.
The version shown is one of them and the blue with flames will probably be the chase one.
The black one shown in the images above is the mainline chase one per The Lamley Group link above.
Anybody heard anything about any upcoming Kmart Kdays.
When there is something definitive, I will post here.
Puff, more $$ spent because of OTD….Thanks
LOL. You’re welcome!
So where can one find these or wave 2 for that matter in the real world rather than internet?
I didn’t see them at any of the usual spots.
Is this new set being sold at Apple stores? If so, do you know when?
Thanks
No idea. I would assume so since Apple carried the first two waves, but haven’t seen anyone venture to the store yet with these readily available on Amazon.
