TOYOTA IS BACK! Steve “HWCVAN” Vandervate unveils newest Car Culture releases at Art of Speed Malaysia

7/26/2019 — Hot Wheels Graphic Designer for Premium/Adult Collector lines, #Steve “HWCVAN” Vandervate is the guest of honor at the Art of Speed Event in Malaysia this weekend. He didn’t travel alone, however. Van brought with him several mixes of the latest #Car Culture cars — a line in which he does the car designs (color/tampos), and serves as the Art Director for.

Among this treasure trove of upcoming #Car Culture, is a red #Toyota Supra. This signals the return of #Toyota to the Hot Wheels brand — which has been absent from the Hot Wheels brand since 2017. There were rumblings that this could happen in 2020, but it appears it will happen as early as the 2019 Car Culture / Cruise Boulevard series.

  1. I’m happy and I’m glad that hotwheels is gonna start making Toyota’s again. πŸ‘And wow all of those new 2019 and 2020 car culture cars and car culture team transports coming out are all awesome. πŸ‘ I will be on the hunt for all of those and I can’t wait to add all of those to my hotwheels collection. πŸ‘

  2. I’m coming to the event tomorrow. With Hot Wheels bringing back Toyota in the lineup, I really want Hot Wheels to release not just the new Supra, but I want the AE86 from Initial D in the Entertainment Line. Maybe make some anime/manga famous cars like the Devil Z from Wangan Midnigth, the bike from Akira or even the Mach 5 from Speed Racer.

    • The Mach 5 would be an AWESOME idea for the Entertainment line. As far as automobile icons go,, why can’t they even produce the Bullitt Mustang?
As long as HW’s has been marketing car culture, motion picture & TV show vehicles.. you’d think they’d release these most famous cars, I understand if they’re licensing rights involved, but by now.. should have been released!

  3. BRAD,I been following you here and on the RLC Site for HOTWHEELS for awhile. Will continue to follow you. I been an RLC Member for 15 straight years. I have gone thru the ups and downs and I must say I have read the rules and sometime we as Collectors forget that we are not allowed to use offensive words. Been plenty of times I want to use a few of them but I have not. Especially 07/25/19 whenI missed out on the GUMBALL 3000 LAMB. I got over it as I have in the past and now I am waiting on Tuesday to get here. So BRAD I feel you are during a really great job with your articles. Please keep up the great work.
