Sam’s Walton’s ’79 Ford F-150 Truck now available via the Walmart Museum (UPDATED 7/18)

7/16/2019 — About a month ago, Walmarts around the United States started getting in “flat” 72 ct. cases of the ’79 Ford F-150 “Sam Walton” Truck. Collectors that were first-to-find grabbed these by the case as its not often you find 94ยข #Real Riders these days unless we are talking about Super Treasure Hunts — which most would not leave behind either. This isn’t the first time that Walmart has sold the Sam Walton truck as it was a 100% Hot Wheels “black box” car in 1999, and more recently came in the HW Jukebox series — very similar to this one — in 2013. Alas, this ’79 Ford F-150 is back at Walmart. If you haven’t been so fortunate to score one of these yet, try sparkshop.com — the Walmart Museum’s online shop — as they have them for $1.89 (+ shipping). It may not be the same as finding them for 94ยข in-store, but its still a reasonable price to pay for one. I splurged for one and it came today… well wrapped, might I add. Thanks, sparkshop.com! It definitely brought “a little spark to [my] day”.

UPDATED 7/18/2019 — It appears Spark Shop has pulled the listing after being inundated with hundreds (if not thousands) of orders. Since this article went live two days ago, stock had dropped over 6,000 units per the site’s inventory number.

  4. I was told by customer service that the truck is not going to be sold on line anymore. They are only going to be available at their Bentonville, Arkansas office for $2.99. They didnโ€™t like the truck being bought and resold. Isnโ€™t that what Walmart does everyday at their stores? Sam Walton is probably rolling in his grave……..again.

  5. I ordered four, one for me and three for family and friends who colllect. Order went through, charged my card. Then today I get an email from my credit card company stating Wal-mart issued me a credit back to my card. They cancelled my order!

  6. I ordered my10 as soon as you posted about them. I can’t find in stores and they are asking way to much online. They arrived today, my nephews will love them.

    • Thatโ€™s great news to hear STYCKO. I ordered 5 for me and family members and they are on the way. Now I feel somewhat better that you got yours. I ordered mines as soon as I saw the article here.Mines will be in JAGVILLE,FLA. this Tuesday. Thanks for the info. enjoy your trucks. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ

    • CORRECTION: order is GOOD, I was refunded from something I actually bought and returned to the store last Sunday.

  7. Glad I placed an order on July 11th, way ahead rest of the pack. But a few of the cards didn’t survive transit, so I have 1 or 2 opener’s.

  8. They are sold out. I watched it start at over 11,000 units. I purchased 2 different times. The last time they had 3,000 or so left. The next morning nothing. All gone. I know people who purchased 50+ of them.
