What will the Deora III look like?

12/17/2018 — With the unveiling of the OFFICIAL 2019 HOT WHEELS MAINLINE LIST came the mentioning of a new #2019 New Model casting, the Deora III. The simple mentioning of it has #Deora and Deora II fans hoping that it will match the aura of the previous castings.

Rumor has it that Hot Wheels Designer, Mark Jones is on the project AND as it turns about, we may have already seen a glimpse of what the Deora III will look like. A few collectors think that Mark previewed the casting at his autograph signing at the 32nd Annual Hot Wheels Collectors Convention back in October. It is seen here on the back of another new casting — called Wide Open — which will appear in the Car Culture / Team Transport line.

Before you pass any judgement, this is a rough “first shot” of what we think is the Deora III. Obviously, it has no paint, an unfinished body and its missing any kind of window piece. What we do see are the two #Surfboards that the Deora castings typically feature, and a bicycle. If this is in fact the Deora III, it will be exciting to see what the finished product will look like. But, for now, I’ll leave you with this…

  1. The red DEORA with the yellow&orange surf boards is my favorite. On the fence about #2&#3. I have the first one(red) still sealed in the original BLACKBOX it came in. Checked the auction sites and the value of the red one is going up. I am glad I bought one back then to keep. Mines will stay in the original BLACKBOX.I like the article you wrote BRAD.

  2. Great investigating again Brad. Love reading your articles. Not to fond of the new one thus far. Might turn out to be as amazing as the Deora II. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ Just have to wait and see. Thanks bud.

  3. i don’t think this is the deora 3. the the car is metal and it says its in the rod squad series in the mainline but its on a team transport.
it might be as it looks like it could be in the rod squad.
