Have you ever been infatuated with a #Multi-Pack Exclusive car? I’m sure you have… Doesn’t it always seem to be in a Hot Wheels 9-Pack or 20-Pack where you don’t want ANY of the other cars? Ugh…
Sometimes if you’re lucky, someone online will have the car for sale for a buck or two plus shipping, but every dollar inches you closer to that 9-Pack price. Sure its worth it if its a car you “must have” or that you collect, but most of the time is just a really cool rendition of a model you’ve never really paid attention to before.
Last year, the Hot Wheels #Porsche 911 GT3 RS was released predominantly in 9-Packs. Its a model that I am not even sure if I have any of its other variants. However, the satin green paint, detailed headlights and elegant black side stripes really stood out to me. I kept seeing it in the 9-Packs but it was always with eight other cars that I already had, or didn’t care to have. So I passed… Until one day I was in the Walmart checkout lane, and I noticed my little green friend staring back at me through the window of a 3-Pack!

Needless to say, it was an instant purchase. It came out to $4 (since I already had the other two cars in it), but it was under the $5 limit I had told myself I would adhere to.
Let me explain my desire for this release a little. I am beginning to think I am a sucker for satin paint — which is very similar to #Spectrafrost Paint used on the Cool Classics. Its satin finish hugs body lines and sits nicely within casting lines, really bringing those out. It really forces you to have the car in hand and rotate it around, watching all the different ways the light hits it.
As cool as the detail is on the front hood, with the headlights and #Porsche logo, this #Multi-Pack Exclusive #Porsche 911 GT3 RS lacks anything on the back end. For a $1 car ($4 in my case), its justifiable, but man this release could have been sooooo much better had it just had one more tampo pass on the back end. Either way, this is one, wicked release. I don’t seek out many Hot Wheels Porsches, but this one was a must-have in my book!
