Hot Wheels 2024 Pop Culture E CASE REPORT

Hot Wheels Pop Culture has had it’s ups and it’s downs in 2024. As a veteran collector, you dislike getting the repeats, but also realize those are nice for newer collectors to secure older releases. These also cater to the casual person that strolls down the diecast aisle looking for some nostalgia.

The TMNT Party Wagon gets released again in what has been a yearly occurrence for the casting. Little to nothing has changed on that release. The Dark Knight Batmobile is back — this time in that tan camouflage scheme that we just saw in the Amazon Exclusive Batmobile Collection 5-Pack in silver-label premium, but haven’t seen with #Real Riders since 2015 in the #Entertainment line.

That leads us to the new releases…

The ’85 Chevy Astro Van is back with a Batman 1966 TV Series deco. No, it’s not the likeness of Adam West fused onto the sides of this one. Instead, we get a clever drag racing look to the scheme. I mentioned in the unboxing video below that this one surprised me in terms of how much I actually like it. I can’t wait to pair it was the premium #’66 TV Series Batmobile. The red striping pattern actually makes for a classic drag racing look on this behemoth, and to top it off, the parachutes on back have the red straps holding them shut. Every good drag car deco needs a slogan, and this one rocks, “The Caped Crusader” on the sides.

#Barbie is back with another Hot Wheels #Corvette. This time, we get the #Corvette C8.R in a modern Barbie deco. This one will undoubtedly be popular as Barbie and pink vehicles always tend to be popular with Hot Wheels collectors.

Lastly we have the #’17 Audi RS 6 Avant in a #Forza deco. While this one may look familiar and some may pass on it thinking its a repeat, it’s not! Last year we got the ’94 Audi Avant RS2 in the same deco. That now gives us a great “then & now” pair. You can also include the Audi S4 quattro that was released in 2023 Boulevard for a trio if you don’t mind that one being sans the Forza branding. I show all three in my unboxing video below.
