Retail Now: Fast & Furious / Fast Imports series emerges at Target!

1/2/2019 — After taking the last week or so off from hunting new Hot Wheels, it was nice to get back to the grind today as I hit my local Phoenix-area Target in hopes of finding #2019 Hot Wheels “D” case and the new Hot Wheels Premium line: #Fast & Furious. Located in the barren wasteland known as the post-Christmas Target diecast aisle, was a blooming flower of new Fast & Furious product, just waiting to be plucked! SCORE! This new line is a line of its own — not Car Culture, etc. — and is showing up now at Target; but should be carried wherever Hot Wheels premium cars are sold.

  1. Nice. I should go hunting, as the ones I preordered from Amazon when you had posted the links, got cancelled.

  2. SWEET !! Since Amazon cancelled 3 out of 5 cars i ordered over 2 mos ago… ONly the Yellow Lambo and the Ford escort are shipped, of course the 3 JDM nissans were cancelled for some reason by amazon….. Never doing that pre order crap again regarding die cast, ill just wait till i find it at retail or a show

  3. Yeah, Amazon cancelled my orders also. Maybe it was an undermine situation by Mattel, like when they prevented middle man distributors from selling the Japan Historics 2 cases to the public so they could let Big Brother big box retailers get their way! I could be wrong, but it’s just a guess, but I want to think Mattel had a hand in Amazon’s pot, so to speak.

Thanks for the heads up Brad.. think we might see these on the east coast in about a month or so!😒

      • I’ve found that the upc code on the cardboard box the cars were packed in, is the number that works with Breekseek’s system.
I don’t why or how it shows a count of individual packs if just the UPC code is scanned from the box – I’ve tried to sometimes punch in the upc right from the pack & it didn’t work.
The associates, in Target for example, just walks up & scans the price label on the peg to see remaining items in stock. I’ll have to try it myself again to see if it works like that with Walmart too.

  4. Brad – did you purchase any? What is the DCPI listed on the receipt if you did? I created a barcode using the UPC from the Nissan Skyline GT-R (BNR32) (887961723168). I then used a price checker instore to scan that UPC it listed a complely different DPCI than you. It was 087-07-1241

    • So you say 087-07-1241 comes up as the Skyline when punched into Brickseek? I tried that DPCI & it came up as a train toy in Target. I also tried 887961723168 & it comes up as “No SKU Found”.
I just wonder how long it;ll be until this line hits stores?!! I’m expecting the Escort & Lambo from Amazon up until Jan 14th.. this should be interesting.
I just want to know why a big ass company like Amazon is cancelling orders like that? What’s wrong, don’t they like to make money? I’m still thinking it’s a Mattel thing though, but oh well.. I guess I’ll either have to get my Skylines at either Target or Evil-bay since Walmart has been a little late to the party with premium HW’s… WM hardly has enough on the 1st go around, now for example, they have tons of Team Transport packages crowding the shelves.. like the Porsche 356, Skyline or Laurel packs!

    • No. I created a UPC from the skyline card (since I didn’t have one) and took it to the store and used the in store price checker to scan it.
