HW Hot Trucks: ’15 FORD F-150

The #Hot Wheels Race Team is back for 2016! However, its not in the race-team-specific segment series as you would expect–although it still may be possible as all the 2016 series have not been revealed. The first casting to wear the famous Hot Wheels logo in blue is the ’15 Ford F-150 in the HW Hot Trucks segment series. If you’re a Hot Wheels Race Team collector like myself you get excited when you find non-segmented race team cars. If you’re not, then its just another casting emblazoned with the Hot Wheels logo.

The great thing about collecting the #Hot Wheels Race Team cars is, outside of any race-team-specific series, you never know in what line or series they are going to show up in. This may fog a collector’s mind when it comes to determining what is an actual race team vehicle, as there is no precise determination. Hot Wheels Race Team cars have come in all sorts of colors and varying levels of graphics. That is why, in my collection, I limit it to cars that are blue and feature Hot Wheels as the primary sponsor. While this is still a loose interpretation, its really on the collector as an individual to decide for themselves. That falls into my motto as a collector:

Don’t worry how others collect. Collect what you like, how you like.

Initially, I thought this ’15 Ford F-150 was a new casting but later recalled the two previous releases of it–both in the Hot Trucks segment of 2015 (as a 2015 New Model). I know, its still 2015 but the 2016 Hot Wheels are out and this is one of the first to be released. Donning the Superlift logos on hood and sides, it furthers the reach of corporate sponsors in the Hot Wheels lines–more specifically the mainline. Look for this one at retail now!
