Tyler was an intern at Mattel on the Hot Wheels team in the summer of 2014 and graduated from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, later that year. After interning at Toyota Boshoku in early 2015, he rejoined the Hot Wheels Team. Prior to his college experience, Tyler apprenticed at a hot rod shop in upstate New York, where he learned the basics of fabrication and custom paint. Tyler then transitioned into automotive sales, where he was introduced to the rapidly changing automotive industry. During this period, he also operated a small custom paint business with a childhood friend. Now, with Hot Wheels, Tyler works on many of the die-cast lines, including Hot Wheels basics and character cars. Tyler designs for the Monster Jam product line as well. Some of Tyler’s favorite creations are Antman, Red Skull, The Riddler, Green Arrow, The Joker, Turbot and Tour de Fast.

Just when you think you have been keeping up in the fast-paced world known as Hot Wheels collecting, the fine folks at Mattel like to throw a change-up to keep you on your toes. The #2017 Hot Wheels year is already past the halfway point as we are […]
