Hot Wheels 2026 Car Culture / Power Trip “R” CASE REPORT

Power Trip has arrived from 1 Stop Diecast and this case is rockin’! Three powerful vehicles from Europe meet three American vehicles with horsepower, culminating in this second act of a beloved Car Culture series.

Any car from the early days of Hot Wheels Car Culture gets the chase “Midas’ touch” here. The ’92 BMW M3 shines in satin gold while another BMW kicks off the series at #1. The BMW M3 (E46) is dressed in a dark green this time with a “faux-leather” colored interior. The true milestone here is the debut of the Real Riders Split-6 Wheels. Looking forward to see how these are used by the Hot Wheels team going forward.

Since chases are now gold, that allows the Hot Wheels team to have all-black non-chases in the series — Hot Wheels Designer, Ron Wong said it himself back in October at the convention. The ’99 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning gets the all-black treatment here and has already become a favorite at the pegs, even without any chase designation attached to it.

The ’08 Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series rounds out the Euro side of this mix. It’s subtle white body with gray rims is quiet on the outside while packing it’s punch underneath the hood.

A silver/gray ’84 Mustang SVO adorns the 4-spot here. This casting pre-dates the Hot Wheels Car Culture era. It has been used several times in premium before but never as a retail Car Culture release. In 2017, it was released as part of the 5-car Car Culture “Bonus” set with a nod to Vanilla Ice. This series takes a modern turn with the ’19 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk wrapping things up. We’ve seen gray versions of this one before, but this red releases screams a little louder. Could this be one of the more underrated SUVs of today?

Hot Wheels Car Culture cases (FPY86) contain only 10 vehicles, unlike Hot Wheels basics cases which have 72. In this mix, you are guaranteed to get all 5 cars in the series. There are two variants of the case — with or without chase piece. In a standard case (without chase) you will get two of each vehicle. In a case with a chase, you will have the chase piece inserted for the second piece of its casting counterpart.
