Hot Wheels 2025 Car Culture / RONIN RUN II “M” CASE REPORT

The sequel to Ronin Run is here! Ronin Run II brings back that classic Japanese illustration card art from 2022 but this time, it’s at night. This 2025 edition of the series has no casting carryovers as the five vehicles in this mix are all-new — with two of them being brand-new, castings! So let’s start there…

The big draw here is the new, ’07 Honda Civic Type R, not just because it was chosen as the chase — which I will get to in a moment. Previously, we had the ’06 Honda Civic Si which was based off a custom version of this era Civic from SEMA. That casting is nearly 20 years old at this point and continues to be released to this day. This new ’07 Type R casting is more true to the actual production car and should please Civic enthusiasts along with scale model ones. The black chase model steps it up a notch as well. The all-white Civic turns all-black, including the wheels and license plate which now reads “HYPE R” instead of “TYPE R” on front and back. it’s little things like thing that really give character to certain chase models.

The other new casting here is the #Mad Mike Mazda RX-3 Wagon. The casting is cool as it’s based off of Mad Mike Whiddett’s “FURSTY” design. Which really interests me is that I now have another premium vehicle to add to my #Hot Wheels Race Team collection.

The #Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) Pandem returns for it’s sophomore Car Culture release in 2025 as part of this Ronin Run II mix. The deco on it’s 2024 Modern Classics release was wild but it was based on a real car. That same deco was also seen on the recently released RC version of this car sold on Mattel Creations. Now, we get a nice, clean version in yellow!

Speaking of sophomore releases, the #’89 Toyota Supra also returns to Car Culture. This time, we get it solo as it had been released in a Team Transport set previously. The red with gray aero wheels is a great combo for this one.

The car in this set I was most impressed with was the Lancer Evolution IX. This is the first premium release of it — concurrently releasing with the Fast & Furious Premium release in red. That Case Report is next! The all-gray body with gunmetal rims is a sleek combo.

Hot Wheels #Car Culture cases (FPY86) contain only 10 vehicles, unlike Hot Wheels basics cases which have 72. In this mix, you are guaranteed to get all 5 cars in the series. There are two variants of the case — with or without chase piece. In a standard case (without chase) you will get two of each vehicle. In a case with a chase, you will have the chase piece inserted for the second piece of its casting counterpart.

Below you’ll find the case list — all of which are seen in this video above and in the images below.
