Hot Wheels 2025 Pop Culture L CASE REPORT

We move onto the 5th mix of Hot Wheels #Pop Culture for 2025! Again, I know this line has been plagued by repeats — and we do get two here — but there are some real gems in this case!

The team at Hot Wheels slipped a new casting into this mix. They got it past me! The ’21 BMW M5 makes it’s debut here in a spectacular metalflake grayish-blue from the movie, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning (2023). You can see from the video below that this casting is on point as it’s one sharp looking BMW that we should see more of (outside of this line) in the future.

We have gotten our fair share of cars from #Gran Turismo and #Forza over the years — and we get two newbies to add to those respective collections in this mix! The #Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo (Gran Turismo) and #’16 Ford GT Race (Forza) both come in gold/black/white but that’s where the similarities end. They couldn’t look any more different with the Gran Turismo Lambo coming in a metalflake gold CAPA livery and the Forza Ford GT rocking the black Forza deco.

The two repeats — or “carry forwards” as Mattel calls it — are the BTTF Time Machine 1955 from Back to the Future Part III and the Action Comics #1 – Action Sedan. We’ve seen them before and we will probably see them again in this line. Both are cool in their own right but they also already reside in my collection. That being said, that shouldn’t take away from how awesome this case is.
