Hot Wheels 2025 Pop Culture K CASE REPORT

There are some cool, new releases in 2025 mix 4 (K case) of Hot Wheels #Pop Culture. Yes, I know this line has been plagued by repeats — and we do get one here — but this case assortment is otherwise spectacular!

The headliner for me is the #’92 Jeep Wrangler Sahara from Jurassic Park. I know Matchbox has killed it on the Jurassic Park/World vehicles but it’s nice to see Hot Wheels do some as well — especially because I know there are collectors (like myself) who only collect Hot Wheels. This one is a new casting that appears to be a modified retool of the #Jurassic Park Jeep which was first released in #Hot Wheels ID. Check out the video and see the comparison!

The Mattel and Hasbro relationship has been fruitful for collectors as the crossover products have been great. Thanks to the rival toy companies joining forces, we got Transformers in Hot Wheels form, and now we get G.I. Joe! I hope this is the start of more G.I. Joe vehicles in the Hot Wheels lineup. The Grumman F-14 Tomcat –formerly released in #Pop Culture as a Top Gun release — gets renamed to Combat Jet Skystriker. Again, check out the video below for a close-up comparison of the two!

I did not watch the original Headbangers Ball on MTV. The original series ended in 1995. This heavy metal music video show would eventually come back as more of an MTV2 show in the 2000s but it didn’t have the same fandom as it’s early days before pop and hip hop took over. Regardless, we get a bangin’ tour bus here which is actually a great use of the Hot Wheels HW Tour Bus casting.

The one repeat is the #TMNT Party Wagon. We’ve seen this in #Pop Culture recently and we’re seeing it again. The casting is great with it’s swing-open door and moving blasters. In this case of this release, it’s just too much, too soon.

Lastly, the vehicle/release that will probably appeal to most people, is the #’71 Porsche 911 from Top Gun: Maverick. This clean, all-silver Porsche is nice and should appeal to both fans of the movie, and collectors who just love scale automobiles.

A big thank you goes out to 1 Stop Diecast for sponsoring this post and for supplying the case. I unboxed one of these 10-count cases on the OTD YouTube Channel, and have a full #Case Report for you here. These appear to be sold out, but you can order other Pop Culture cases from 1 Stop Diecast below.

    • Yes and no. Hot Wheels Designer, Ron Wong, used those original files from the ID release and the SDCC release. This new casting is kind of a hybrid of the two.
