This is a first! We were able to get a hold of a case of the latest #Target Exclusive #Car Culture 2-Packs. This is mix 2 for 2025 as designated by the “R” case assortment. Three sets are in this mix, with each set containing one carry forward and one new variant.

The set I was most excited to get was the BMW M Racing one. This set of 2 contains the BMW 320 Group 5 — which debuted in a BMW Car Culture 2-Pack in 2023, in the same deco — and the all-new, #’01 BMW M3 GTR. Obviously, the new casting here is what makes this 2-pack worth it. I can’t stop looking at this sleek race car with hood vents and large fender flares!

At retail, I expect the Spoon Racing Civics 2-Pack to go quickly. Those that make a living of buying and reselling JDM Hot Wheels will find joy in their next quick flip. The ’24 Honda Civic Type R is a great casting but this version has previously been done in the 2024 Boulevard line. You may think the ’99 Honda Civic Type R is also a carry forward. And, if that is the case, you’d be wrong: same colors, wrong Civic. It was the Honda Civic EG that came in yellow with a black hood in the 2020 Fast & Furious line and subsequently in the 2022 Japanese Tuners Premium Collector/Display Set. What separates this EK9 — aside from it being a different casting — is that it has a modest Spoon Racing deco and a carbon fiber inspired hood.

The last #Car Culture 2-Pack in this mix is the Classic Exotics set. You may be questioning why a Lamborghini Countach is being paired with a Lancia Stratos Zero outside of their wedge-shaped design. It’s their wedge-shaped design however, that clues you into the real reason for this set: they’re both Marcello Gandini designs! The carry forward here is the Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV which comes from the 2022 Jay Leno’s Garage Car Culture set. The Lancia Stratos Zero is the star here as the silver version of the car is known as the Michael Jackson version. In the anthology movie, Moonwalker (1988), Michael Jackson morphs into this car to escape the ruthless drug dealer known as “Mr. Big”.
