We just took a look at the 2024 Hot Wheels #Pop Culture “C” case yesterday — now we’re onto “D”! In my opinion, it’s not as strong as the C case but D does hold a couple unique pieces. First, the Aston Martin V8 makes it’s debut! This brand-new casting was designed by Ron Wong and it is the first Hot Wheels Premium casting designed entirely by him. Ron has a great eye for detail and it shows in this casting. I can’t wait to get mine out of the packaging. In the mean time, check out Ron’s Instagram post below. While the Aston Martin V8 definitely highlights the case, we also get two other new releases — and subsequently, two repeats. To collectors, repeats aren’t entirely bad if you missed them the first time around, but it does beg the question: was something else slotted here and replaced with these? Anywho, we get a brand-new, #Volkswagen Drag Bus. I’m sure Hot Wheels customizers & VW Drag Bus fans are rejoicing while others continue to clamor for the casting to be retired. The monochrome (black) #Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles deco over metalflake light green paint is actually pretty rad. Lastly, the collector-favorite, #Hiway Hauler returns. After being released in orange earlier in the year, my unboxing suspicions (seen below in the video) were correct as the new color means a different concert ticket stub. Orange was the Hollywood Bowl on August 29, 1965 and this new mint green version is for the Empire Stadium Vancouver concert that was on August 22, 1964.
