3/1/2019 — Collectors are constantly putting out “wish lists” of real cars they would like to see in Hot Wheels form. For the past couple years, the ONE car I have seen across the most wish lists has been the Lamborghini Centenario. Its a hyper-car that costs a cool $2.5 Million, and goes 0-60mph in less than 2.8 seconds. Oh, and only 40 were made (20 of the coupe and 2 of the roadster).
Hot Wheels production will surely outnumber the real car, as the Lamborghini Centenario Roadster looks to be coming to the mainline in 2019 courtesy of this Instagram post by the @hotwheelsdreamteam. At the $1 price point, collectors are going to go craaaaaazy for this car, especially because the design is spot on, and the silver paint shows off its body quite nicely. Great work, dream team!
Let the games begin! The hunt will be strong for this one.

LAMBORGHINI’S are starting to take up the void that FERRARI left in the Hotwheels World to me.I now like all the LAMBORGHINI’S. With my favorite BRAD being the LAMBORGHINI COUNTACH. Thanks for the article BRAD. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
That looks stunning, especially for a model that costs just over a buck.
The Lamborghini’s are always great. Been collecting since the 80’s, my first TH was the pink Countach! Keep up the great blog, Brad, you’re from Wisconsin, too?
Thanks, Ted. I am originally from Wisconsin … Moved to Arizona 12 years ago.
Not sure what the etiquette is for bumping older posts but a new member over at HobbyTalk has noted the the 2019 Centenario has a base name (well actually year) variation. Seems that both a ’16 and ’17 version were issued. Anyone else noticed this or can check their castings for the differences. The only other place I have seen it noted is at Fandom so far….
