1/16/2019 — We are in the thick of winter here in the United States but the folks over at Collectors Events Unlimited have provided a glimpse of spring by unveiling the first souvenir car for this year’s Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals in Lombard, Illinois. Starting April 3rd, convention goers at the 19th Annual Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals event will be able to purchase (an assumed limit of) three per paid ticket as this Custom Camaro is limited to 5,000 pieces.

The Hot Wheels Custom Camaro draws comparisons to the #’67 Camaro as it was the ’67 that was based off of this redline-era casting, which was ultimately brought back for HotWheelsCollectors.com’s Original 16 line in 2013. The Custom Camaro was retooled in 2018 to be more true to the original casting and this will mark the fifth release of it since its resurrection (2013 O16, 2018 O16 Display Set, 2018 HWC White Enamel, 2019 RLC Membership & 2019 Nationals). This Nationals release will certainly be desired as pink cars are always a hit at Hot Wheels conventions and it features a favorable deco that is reminiscent of a lot of the Camaros of that era.
