Hot Wheels 2026 Silver Series / PANTONE (mix 1) “A” CASE REPORT

Out of left field comes a new Hot Wheels line within the Silver Series: Pantone. Perhaps some would consider it a collab? Pantone is a well-known color brand in the printing industry. It’s precise color formulas offer a way to replicate real world color that is not able to be captured through the use of 4-color process (CMYK).

In this line, the body, windows, wheels, base, and interior all use the Pantone color stated on the packaging, and on the vehicle. There are subtle accents like white rims, white Pantone names, and front & rear detail. With this being the first mix of a brand new line, it’s hard to say where the line is headed, but it seems like this will be the norm for at least this year.

I applaud Mattel for zigging while every one is zagging over more car culture type lines. This Pantone series brings Hot Wheels into the art realm and offers them up as a canvas that showcases the range of colors and paint matching. I mentioned in this video that I really hope we see the colors that cannot closely be replicated by CMYK like your neons or metallics.

This first mix of Pantone brings us 6 vehicles. The case may be staggered, but you do get at least 1 of all 6 in this case.

I unboxed one of these 10-count cases on the OTD YouTube Channel within the Case Report that you see here. Tune in and let me know what you think. Let me know your thoughts.
