9/24/2025 — For decades, Hot Wheels has thrived on the passion of its fanbase—collectors who know every casting detail, wheel variation, and packaging quirk. Now, Mattel is giving those very fans a bigger role than ever: helping shape the upcoming Hot Wheels 2027 mainline.

Hot Wheels collectors are always looking to have a say as to which castings should be included in the mainline. Here is YOUR CHANCE to have a say! The Hot Wheels team as cooked up 5 head-to-head polls on the Mattel Creations forums. You can choose between the ’70 Dodge Charger R/T and SRT Viper GTS-R, the ’09 Corvette ZR1 and ’17 Camaro ZL1, the Mazda RX-3 and ’95 Mazda RX-7 Drift, the McLaren 720S and McLaren F1, and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Porsche 934 Turbo RSR.

This year’s theme is “Model Mayhem” — which pairs 10 vehicles in head-to-head matchups, based on auto manufacturer. These will be part of an undisclosed 2027 mainline series which will be available worldwide (where Hot Wheels mainline vehicles are sold). I’ve made my selections, what are you choosing?
