Hot Wheels 2025 Silver Series / National Icons “G” CASE REPORT

The next mix of Hot Wheels #Vintage Racing Club is here! National Icons takes the stage featuring a mix of ’60s/’70s cars. These assortments (HRT81) are now labelled as simply, “HW VINTAGE ASST” by Mattel.

What is interesting about this mix, is that we see the return of the #Chase car — something we haven’t seen since #Vintage Racing Club mix 1 with the randomly-inserted, 6th car: ’67 Camaro. With this series/mix, the chase car is done a little differently. The #5 of 5 car, the ’67 Porsche 911 R, has a common/standard variant in red, and a chase variant in spectraflame red.

Another interesting tidbit lies within the card art. The country, or “nation”, to which these vehicles are being attributed to is somewhat hidden within the clouds. Some are more obvious than others, like the United States continental 48, which doesn’t lend itself well to the cumulus cloud shape being utilized here. Still, this is an awesome idea — something I did not see at first!

As cool as the idea of Salt Flat Racers was, I think this series will be far more popular with collectors as the casting choices are much better.

I unboxed one of these 10-count cases on the OTD YouTube Channel within the full #Case Report that you see here. Tune in and let me know what you think. Let me know your thoughts.
