Hot Wheels Vintage Racing Club 2024 “B” CASE REPORT

When Hot Wheels #Vintage Racing Club was unveiled last fall, it was a pleasant surprise. Now, two mixes in, we’ve seen 11 vehicles released, including 1 chase! The first mix was available through hobby dealers, but seemed to show up primarily at 7-Eleven stores — which certainly caused collectors to raise one eye-brow as they chased down the ’67 Camaro 6/6 chase piece.

Mix 2 (case B) for #Vintage Racing Club has not hit at retail yet, and I’m not sure if it will. Regardless, Hobby Dealers such as 1 Stop Diecast have it now. I unboxed one of these 10-count cases on the OTD YouTube Channel, and have a full #Case Report for you here.

QUICK LINK! Buy the Hot Wheels Vintage Racing Club “B” case on 1 Stop Diecast now.

Hot Wheels #Vintage Racing Club cases (HRT81) contain only 10 vehicles, unlike Hot Wheels basics cases which have 72. In this mix, you are guaranteed to get all 5 cars since there is no chase piece. The quantities per piece are below.

What differentiates this mix from the first one is the card art. The first mix was set during the day time, while these 5 cars are all racing at night. Notice the darker card and the beam from the headlights!

If you follow the 2024 Hot Wheels MASTER LIST / Hot Wheels Vintage Racing Club page I have here on OTD, you can see a running list of the known vehicles in each case. Below you’ll find the 2024 “B” case list — all of which are seen in this video and in the images below.

  1. ’62 Corvette (x2)
  2. Toyota 2000GT (x1)
  3. ’69 Ford Mustang Boss 302 (x1)
  4. Custom Ford Maverick (x3)
  5. Custom Datsun 240Z (x3)

  1. these entry level premiums have some interesting castings, I found the sponge bob second wind in all metal, and was pretty jazzed about it, and I did find the GTO wagon also.

I mentioned the release your sharing now, on your review of the first release. and on this release, I’m looking to get the full set, (if I can find them.) theres not a square peg in the bunch.

but tops on my list are the mustang and maverick.

    • Thanks, Taz. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Mustang was all-metal. I believe the 2000GT is too — hence the real reason why those are 1 per case.

      • yep brad, sadly that is true all metal cars add to shipping costs, so they short pack them to save ,

thats just how the crumbs fall. still dont think it is fair, considering their a mixed release, with some plastic based cars any way.

but every ones starting to feel the pinch. and starting to save their dimes. so I cant fault Mattel for doing so too. 😉
