2/15/2024 — Mark and Jennifer over at Collectors Events Unlimited have now unveiled the second souvenir car for this year’s Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia: the ’55 Chevy Bel Air Gasser! Easily one of the top 5 most popular Hot Wheels castings of all-time, it seems like an event every time the Hot Wheels #’55 Chevy Bel Air Gasser is released — and this time its at the biggest Hot Wheels event east of the Mississippi River.
Starting April 3rd, convention goers at the 24th Annual Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals event will be able to purchase three per paid ticket as this gasser is limited to 6,200 pieces, just like the Supra.
The #’55 Chevy Bel Air Gasser is no stranger to awesome liveries. This release ranks among the best with the always popular, #Mooneyes on both of the doors, and the trunk lid. With that, the car itself is “mooneyes yellow” and features a matte black roof complete with a pin-striping pattern on both the doors and roof.

I’m biting my tongue, for those going, have fun
The 55 Gasser was an obvious choice for the Mooneyes livery, as it has a Moon gas tank molded into the base. There are a number of castings which have a Moon gas tank and I always wondered why they haven’t been used yet for the Moon livery.
Can you actually purchase the yellow ‘55 outright ? Or just at the convention
Only at the Nationals Convention in Atlanta.
